For half a century, the spirit of Lei Feng has been like a monument, guiding generations of people with the power of example. Today, Nanjing Jindi Future School is also carrying out activities to promote the spirit of Lei Feng, to learn from him and to be a model of the times.
Student-to-student support
Lei Feng once said in his diary, "If you are a drop of water, do you moisten an inch of land? If you are a ray of sunshine, do you illuminate a darkness?"
So, if a group of young students became listeners and interpreters, what would they bring to others? And what difference would they make in the future?
"I need a little help." Three large trees, symbolising the academy, stood in front of the students, who wrote their confusions on the leaves, which slowly dotted the growing branches, expecting their peers to come up and listen to the rustling of the wind and help them answer those worries about learning, growing and loving.
The students sat around the bookstore, discussing the questions in groups of two or three, writing their childish solutions from the perspective of their peers, perhaps not the right answers, but with such sincerity and interest that they couldn't help but smile.

Home-school mutual help
"May you be a pine in a storm, not a weak sapling in a greenhouse."
As Comrade Lei Feng said, saplings cannot be confined to a greenhouse bower, so it is vital that vocational experience and the transmission of life experience are also provided in addition to the students' daily education.
In order to further promote home-school co-education and stimulate children's interest and enthusiasm, we invited parents of Year 1 and 2 to enter the classroom, allowing them to become teachers and use their own valuable life experience and wisdom to give their children a different kind of extended classroom in addition to learning subject knowledge.
G2 Karry's mum works in the jewellery industry and the warm and lustrous pearls were the 'hero' of the lesson, from round freshwater pearls to baroque pearls, Karry's mum knew all about the formation and types of pearls.
Inspiring the children to string pearls with fishing line to create their own unique pearl bracelets was at the heart of the lesson. The students arranged and conceived of their own ideas. The pearls could be flowers, the moon, birds or anything imaginable.
Immersed in such a classroom, the students are able to let their natural instincts fly and inspire their interests and talents. In the future, we will also reach out to the parent community to open up more possibilities for the children in the ongoing home school mutual help and home school co-education.
Students help each other, home and school help each other, the spirit of Lei Feng in the development of the times, the innovation of education continues to glow new luster, ten years of trees, a hundred years of trees, we will also tree moral education on the road, continue to carry forward the selfless dedication of Lei Feng, help people's spirit, so that children become the backbone of the country and society, to give children a golden future.
